Itinerary

We start our day at the beating heart of Munich; Marienplatz, which has been a place of gatherings, celebrations and important events for centuries. The town hall clock tower with its puppet mechanism depicts a short story of Bavarian history and takes us back to the 16th century. The cobblestones of the square, the historic buildings and the surrounding cafes have a lively and lively atmosphere. We walk around a bit to take pictures from different angles of this magnificent square.

Visiting time: about 1 hour

A few steps higher, the Frauenkirche Church, with its famous twin onion-shaped towers, shines in the Munich skyline. The interior of the church, with its high vaults and the soft light of stained glass windows, has a soulful calm. Climbing one of the towers, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the city’s rooftops and the Alps on the horizon – an image that will stay with you forever.

Visiting time: about 45 minutes

On our way to the Residences, we pass through old streets with small shops, bookstores, and local cafes. Sometimes the sounds of street musicians mingle with the aroma of fresh coffee, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Journey time: about 15 minutes

We arrive at the royal residence; a vast complex of sumptuous halls, ceremonial halls, galleries and a treasury housing the treasures of the Wittelsbach family. The architecture, ceiling paintings and royal furniture introduce us to life at the Bavarian court.

Visiting time: about 1 hour and a half

After leaving the Residenz, we stop at Odeonplatz, a place that showcases Munich's political and cultural history. A few steps away, the peaceful Hofgarten, with its flower-lined paths and beautiful gazebos, offers an opportunity to relax and take photos.

Visit duration: about 30 minutes

We head to the traditional Viktualienmarkt, a food lover's paradise. Here, colorful stalls with local cheeses, Bavarian sausages, fresh breads, and juicy fruits create the feel of a street party. We have lunch in one of the market's small, cozy restaurants.

The Theatinerkirche, with its yellow, Baroque façade, stands out on the corner of Odeonplatz. Its bright white interior, with its delicate sculptures and columns, is impressively grand.

Journey time: about 45 minutes

We arrive at Munich's largest city park, where green lawns, winding paths, and a calm river offer a world away from the city center. Watching surfers practicing on a small section of the river is one of the most spectacular parts of this park.

Visiting time: about 45 minutes

At the end of the day, we sit on wooden benches in the shade of trees in one of the traditional gardens on the edge of the park, enjoying a drink or a light snack, and soaking up the Bavarian atmosphere.
